Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin is prone to redness, itching, irritation and dehydration and reacts quickly to external stimuli such as cold, heat, wind or certain skincare products. If your skin is often irritated or burns easily, you probably have sensitive skin.

For sensitive skin, look out for barrier-strengthening ingredients such as ceramides, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, which strengthen the skin's natural barrier and retain moisture. Soothing ingredients such as panthenol, centella asiatica and allantoin help to reduce redness and soothe irritation. Use mild cleansers that won't dry out or irritate your skin.

For sensitive skin, avoid fragrances that can irritate the skin. At Korelu, all products without fragrances or perfume are labeled “fragrance-free”. High concentrations of exfoliating acids, especially glycolic acid, can also be too much for your skin. Prefer gentle chemical exfoliants with low acidity or milder acids such as PHAs or fruit acids.
